JC Racing Smash 250cc Hydroplane World Speed Record
Team driver Julian Codling ended a great year for the JC Racing Team by braking the world speed record for a 250cc hydroplane at the historic Coniston Powerboat Records Week.

With powerboat speed records attmepts having taken place in the Lake District for over 100 years, 'Coniston Power Boat Records Week' is classed as the finale to the racing season bringing together all classes of boat. From hydroplanes, through inshore circuit racers to the largest offshore boats, teams come to Coniston to try and beat the world speed records for their powerboat class.
JC Racing driver Julian Codling smashed the old world 250cc hydroplane speed record of 100.56mph on his first attempt clocking an impressive 112.20mph.
It was a fantastic way to end a season that has seen the team win the National Outboard Championship, National 250cc Sprint Championship and finished third in the European Formula 0-250 series.
