The JC Racing Team had a new hydroplane to play with in 2007, having purchased the Swedish designed Andick hull from fellow hydroplane racer Paul Jillings.
The hull powered by either the 350cc Konny motor of the 350cc five port Konig, saw driver Julian Codling start to push the outfit to it's limit on the local circuit of Oulton Broad. Julian was getting so much out of the 350cc engine, at times he was starting behind the more powerful 500cc hydroplanes during handicap races.
With the JC Racing Team outfit flying around Oulton Broad and posting consistent lap times in the region of 41 seconds, Julian was able to retain the King of the Broads trophy for the JC Racing Team.
On the 7th June 2007 with perfect conditions for hydroplane racing, Julian broke the long standing 350cc lap record at Oulton Broad posting a lap time of 39.3 seconds during the first race. The previous record had stood for over nineteen years and had been held by Nigel Wesley who clocked a time of 40.6 seconds in 1988.
2007 also saw the JC Racing Team venture into racing in the national championship series competing against the likes of Wayne Turner, Paul Jillings, and Nigel Edwards all of whom have had success on the international stage.
With a second place finish at the first round at Oulton Broad, and two third place finishes at Kinsbury Water Park and Stewartby Lakes saw Julian and the JC Racing Team finish their debut national season as runner up behind champion Wayne Turner with Nigel Edwards finishing in third place.
