Welcome

The JC Racing Team are a powerboat racing team that have been competing in the hydroplane class since 2005.

Having previously spent time riding motocross bikes, team driver Julian Codling switched to powerboat racing, looking to emulate the achievements of his father Jack Codling who also raced hydroplanes during the 1960's and 1970's.

With team mechanics David Jones and Daniel Critoph, the JC Racing Team currently race on the local, national, and international circuit. The team compete using a 250cc GRM engine which powers a Trombetta designed hydroplane and is capable of reaching speeds approaching 100 miles per hour.

In a relatively short career to date the JC Racing Team have won the National 350cc Sprint Championship in 2008, the National 250cc Sprint Championship in 2009, and have won the illustrious King of the Broads trophy on five occasions.

Members of the oldest motor boat club in the Great Britain (The Lowestoft and Oulton Broad Motor Boat Club), the JC Racing Team can be found competing on the local circuit at Oulton Broad most Thursday evenings during the spring and summer months.
